Inspection Reports

Dear Parents

Progress Monitoring with Material Change Inspection, Sept 23

I am writing to share the results of our recent follow up Inspection by ISI, in September. As you may be aware, the School recently moved to ISI, the Inspection Body for the independent Sector, after many years of Inspection by Ofsted.

Our first ISI Compliance inspection took place in January 2023, and we were asked to make administrative changes with respect to the recording of information on our Single Central Register (SCR), the database on which the School records all the recruitment checks for staff.  This is not an unusual finding during the first inspection after a school moves between inspection frameworks.

Our administrative team set to work immediately and has diligently put all the recommendations in place. I am pleased to report that ISI confirmed, during their follow-up inspection in September, that all of the issues raised previously have now been comprehensively resolved. As you will read on the attached ISI report, the School meets every standard relating to Safeguarding: Welfare, health and safety of pupils: risk assessment; Suitability of staff and proprietors and Provision of information.

As you read the latest report, you will notice that the inspectors have this time made a recommendation with regard to First Aid Training at the Nursery site.  They have asked that at least one member of staff is trained in a specific twelve hour, Full Paediatric First Aid course.

Our policy has been to train every pupil-facing staff member in Emergency Paediatric First Aid or Early Years First Aid over the course of the school year, ensuring that we are never short of a First Aider to respond to emergencies. These courses cover many of the required modules of the full course. However, following this feedback from ISI, we have now changed training provider and have trained five additional staff members in the specific First Aid modules requested by ISI. We anticipate the endorsement of this requirement in a subsequent inspection.

We have updated our First Aid Policy and are delighted to confirm that the DfE have now approved our new school registration which take us from Nursery to Year 6.

I am available for any questions you may have, please feel free to drop into the office or send me an email.

Best
