Headteacher's Welcome

A warm welcome to The Children’s House. We are a friendly and close community, where parents and staff work together to provide children with all that they need to flourish.  Our curriculum is practical and theme-based, making learning active and meaningful.  Children are encouraged to be curious, to ask questions and think independently about all of the wonders of the world around them.  

Despite being non-selective on entry, our academic attainment is excellent. This is an exciting time for us as we expand into a full prep school. With a proven track record of success at 7+, we will now be focusing on preparing pupils in a more timely fashion, for 11+, when they are mature and ready. Progress is closely monitored in order that extension or extra help and encouragement can be given when and where it is needed.

Alongside curiosity, we value and nurture kindness and calm, and this is apparent as you walk around the school.
