Parents

Thank you for creating such a fun, engaging and happy learning environment

The Parent Community

The Children's House has an active Parent Committee who support the School in many ways, including planning fundraising and social events and gathering enthusiasm for these initiatives amongst the larger parent community.  The Parent Committee organises the School's annual fundraising auction and raffle which raises funds for both the School and local charities and a social activity, such as a Quiz Evening, as part of the School's Annual General Meeting in the Spring.

Parent Committee members attend termly meetings with the Senior Leadership Team and the Chairman of the Council of Management where they are updated on School developments in more depth and are able to discuss any issues.  We welcome interest from parents who would like to find out more about joining the Parent Committee.

We also welcome parent participation and attendance at a variety of School events throughout the year including end of term concerts, open classrooms and workshops.

Parents support the school in other ways too, for example as reading volunteers at the Upper School and through contributing towards our themed weeks.

The School carries out Parent Questionnaires on an annual basis to gather parents' feedback.

Local Community Involvement

We support a number of local child-centred charities through fund-raising activities and the School welcomes charity nominations from parents. In the last year we have supported The Rose Bowl, Love-in-a-box, Sports Relief, The London Children’s Book Project, Great Ormond Street Hospital, a Creche in Durban, The Manna, CPotential, The Bumblebee Conservation Trust and The Rainforest Foundation UK.
