Early Education Funding
The government introduced revised Early Years funding (previously Nursery Education Grant Scheme) from September 2025, and we continue to participate in this scheme. Please note that our provision starts for pupils from 2 years of age.
The funding only covers basic care and falls well below our standard fees for a broad educational “school” experience. Our commitment is to provide a high-quality education that supports every child’s full development in readiness for our Prep School. This includes a vibrant curriculum taught by qualified teachers, plus a rich programme of sports, Spanish, music and dance led by specialist teachers. Children also benefit from external trips and are offered enrichment clubs, all of which are central to helping our pupils grow into confident, independent learners.
15 hours – All children from 3 years of age
For children aged over 3 years of age, the government funds 15 hours per week, irrespective of family income. We offer these hours from 12 - 3pm Monday to Friday. Children whose parents meet the financial eligibility criteria may also benefit from the additional 15 hours per week. We offer these hours from 3 – 6pm.
30 hours – for eligible children from 2 years of age
Government funding requires both parents to earn over £167 per week but under £100,000 annually. If either parent falls outside this range, the family is ineligible. Eligibility for the extended entitlement is determined by HMRC. Parents must apply through the Government’s Childcare Choices portal and provide a valid code before the start of each funded term. More information can be found here.
Applications must be submitted on the government site and the child’s code sent to us by 31 July, 30 November, or 31 March for the following term. Codes must be renewed each term, and missed deadlines mean waiting until the next cycle—there is no flexibility for new starters.
For eligible families, we provide these fully funded places for 30 hours per week from 12-6pm from Monday - Friday, for 36 weeks a year, following our academic terms.
Morning sessions (8:45 am – 12:00 pm), extra-curricular and enrichment activities are not included in the funding.
All new admissions places are subject to availability and are considered in line with our Admissions Policy. The School’s Terms and Conditions will apply.
